When Robert Filewood decided to build his own custom carport to protect his caravan from hailstorms and other elements, he didn’t expect what would come next.
From striking out numerous times with uninterested builders, to headache inducing council requirements and relaxation fees, GW Patios worked with Mr Filewood and made an otherwise complicated process easy.
Located in Bracken Ridge Queensland, Robert Filewood decided in early 2024 that he wanted to finally build a carport to protect his caravan this year.
His decision came after years of summer hailstorm damage and costly repairs.
However, when reaching out and enquiring to multiple building companies he found that none were concerned with his issue, nor wanting his business.
That was until Mr Filewood rang up GW Patios.
“The price was reasonable, and I couldn’t get a price off of anyone else as other builders weren’t interested” he explained.
As soon as council approval was confirmed, and GW Patios received the green light construction began on Mr Filewood’s property.
“They were good [the tradies], they got in and got out, were done in only two days.”
Despite Mr Filewoods tiresome back and forth with council during his carports designing process involving finicky regulations, he was thrilled with the finished product and GW Patio’s overall service.
“I had no problems – the end result was fantastic,” Filewood exclaimed.
When asked if he would recommend GW Patios to friends and family he replied, “yes absolutely”, adding that “I just think everyone should know what to expect from council.”
